Hotel was clean, lots of places to eat and drink nearby
Air conditioning was next to useless, breakfast was awful, new hotel but wasn't finished properly, located up a steep hill in sweltering heat, pool very small, no do not disturb signs in our room and we were woken up early mornings by cleaning staff,

really enjoyed our rooms with an external window in the bathroom. we had an amazing and lovely breakfast with yoghurt, freshly made omelette, dairy products included. the location was marvellous, close to lovely restaurants around st julian's, and sliema and valletta, and the private parking was an excellent bonus. exceptional and incredible staff at the reception desk, as expected.

Nice and quiet
Very difficult to find, just a small sign on the door, and no sign easy to find.

Great location next to restaurants and public transport and close to a shop and resturants; efficient check-in. Again, walking distance to Spinola Bay.

Hotel argento was ok. Def not a 4 star as advertised. Up arriving at the Hoyle By airport shuttle I was not able to identify the hotel as there was no sign only a piece of paper on the glass sliding door. Oh no I thought. As I walked in the place smelt on concrete and it appeared as though it was not quite ready for business. The lady at the front counter was helpful. When checking in I was given a plain white card as te room key. The room number was told to me and how to get there as was the breakfast hours, pool hours. I also had to ask about the wifi. The entry of the argento could be improved it was boring and not very welcoming. I went to the lift to go to my room. Upon arrivin on my level I stepped out and it was very boring. The floor tiles were chipped and cracked. I then found my room and upon opening the door which wasnt locked anyway walked into a hot stuffy smelly room. The room had a comfortable double bed, wardrobe and draws with a desk and chair. The room also had a mini fridge however it barely kept items cold. I then went and opened the bathroom door. Whoa the smell of wet dog!!! I quickly opened the small window to let some fresh air in I also sprayed my deodorant around the room. Anyways I turned the air con on which was rather noisy with nit much action. The location of the hotel is very good. Close to bus stops and the cafe bar area. There are also nearby convenience stores. My initial thoughts of te hotel were disasterous however after I aired the room and explored the area I feel thy the hotel is in a great area. It may be a little pricey though. The pool area was good however really needs some shade areas or umbrellas. I would also suggest the hotel have cocktail hours on the roof tip as it is a big open area by the pool with a lot of potential. Break fast had a good selection of cereals. The eggs however were always cold, the sausages were toooo porky if that makes sense. The water also had a foul taste. Anyways that is my review.

Breakfast was good.
The AC was terrible and we were in their top room. Chamber maid was knocking at our door every morning between 8.30 and 9.30 even though every time we were like we are still in here go away.....and also we didnt request a wakeup call!!!! We were not advised that the minibar was a package you have to select, which if we would have known we would have selected it before hand so we would not have arrived at night and checked in to an empty warm fridge. The taxi they ordered for us which you paye for at the hotel was rediculously over priced which we didnt realise untill we got another taxi which was less than half the price.

Great staff - they are all very very helpful. As a new hotel just finding their feet there were a few issues but nothing that can't be fixed with time and hotel experiance - again the staff were very helpful is assisting with any concerns we had.
As its still a new hotel we had a few problems - we had to change rooms three times before we had one to service our needs. Eg. A couple wanting one bed - we started with two singles - faulty airconditioning in the second room. I suggest the pool hours be extended - we had no opportunity to swim before or after a day trip as you usually leave by 9am. Another suggestion for people like myself staying for a longer duration - maybe a dvd option for the rooms - as most of the TV channels are in Italian it is very difficult to relax in the room and enjoy an english movie or TV program ** we did watch the english/aribic movie channel - but this was very limited and repetitive.

One of the best quality/price hotels (€85 in July) I ever found. I was in the 5th floor and my room was big, pleasant, clean and quiet. Complete breakfast. 3 minutes walking from a tourist area -restaurants, avenue, shopping center, -. Nice 4 Stars Hotel.
Bathroom socket for my electronical devices didn't worked. Not easy to park the car near by the hotel. Swimmingpool close at 19.00, quite soon. Is not in a beach area. // Los enchufes del baño no funcionaban. No es facil encontrar un sitio para el coche cerca del hotel. La piscina cierra a las 17.00. No esta en una zona de playa.

The breakfast was lovely, especially cereal and fruit, the best I've ever had. I had a heated family room with a lovely view over the bay. Loved the location to everything in St Julian's. You can find Peppino's a short way from the hotel to a have lunch.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Great view from the rooftop terrace and pool!
The hotel does not feel quite finished yet (recently opened) so there are areas that still need a paint-job etc.

The hotel was very contemporary and comfortable. The rooms were cleaned everyday and the staff always willing to help. The location was second to none.
We stayed here just as it was opening. There were a few teething problems ie; the cleaners didn't fill up the coffee/milk etc unless asked. There were only two irons and ironing boards and they were always in use. Other than this I really could not fault the hotel.
